One of the worst things you can do when looking for a job is LIE on your resume or your website.
Do not underestimate the consequences of misrepresenting yourself to employers and recruiters. Even if it works, it’s only temporary – and once you are found out, the results could be devastating. Why even go there??

The key to promoting yourself (and finding the right job) is
BE AUTHENTIC…
…and the key to authenticity is KNOWING YOURSELF.
What are your values?
What are the skills and qualities you bring to the table?
How do you really feel about work?
What do you really want out of a job?
Answer these questions for yourself, then figure out a way to communicate the answers simply and honestly.
Always use your best judgment when crafting your personal story, but don’t be afraid to TELL THE TRUTH. At the end of the day, you’ll get much further with the real you…
…and the added bonus is huge: and being honest about who you are and what you want from a job will invariably lead to higher job satisfaction or improved overall HAPPINESS…
And isn’t happiness what everyone really wants?
