Conversations about real estate agents are often filled with expletives that vent frustrations about an agent’s fees, attitude towards budgetary requirements and tendency to be generous with the terms ‘spacious’ and ‘bright’.
And yet, real estate agents are the backbone of the property industry; indeed, even those who have nothing but bad things to say about real estate agents would probably still continue to use them.

If you’re thinking of venturing into the busy world of secretarial work then you’ll need to be up on a few skills in order to improve your prospects. Secretaries need to be completely fluent in all Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook, as well as an expert in using the internet too. Of course you’ll have the usual duties to perform such as answering telephone calls, filing and distributing post, but the majority of your time will be taken up typing. Your typing speed and accuracy figures will be taken at the interview stage by a series of tests.
I came across this statement at a writer’s workshop, that to be a good writer you do not have to read. However, my personal philosophy is more along the lines of what Stephen King said. “If you want to be a writer, you must do two things above all others: read a lot and write a lot.” I am a firm believer of this philosophy, having written both academically and commercially over the last 8 years. Many people have argued with me over this, however I still hold my views on this subject as before.
There has never been a better time to look for a career in the offshore oil and gas industry. Business is booming and there is a high demand for workers, even if you don’t have first-hand experience of working on an oil rig, you may still be considered for a position.
