Analysis Of The Myth 'Reading Is Essential For Writing'I came across this statement at a writer’s workshop, that to be a good writer you do not have to read. However, my personal philosophy is more along the lines of what Stephen King said. “If you want to be a writer, you must do two things above all others: read a lot and write a lot.” I am a firm believer of this philosophy, having written both academically and commercially over the last 8 years. Many people have argued with me over this, however I still hold my views on this subject as before.
