It seem like you can’t go a day without hearing something about the economy or jobs and unemployment, and let’s face it those unemployment numbers have to be higher than we are being told. Depending upon which part of the country we’re talking about, the real number is likely closer to 20%. These are approaching depression era numbers, not encouraging indeed.
When you look at rising tuition costs and the availability of jobs upon graduation, this is not very encouraging either. Many college grads are coming out of school a hundred thousand dollars in debt and taking jobs as bartenders in order to make ends meet. We are all brought up to believe that in order to be successful you must go to college, get a degree, and then you can get a high paying job and live happily ever after.
Not only does that scenario not work for everybody under normal circumstances, factor in what’s going on with this economy, and it does not paint a very bright picture.
